I started in with My Life in Orange still fresh in my mind, and was very satisfied to see the setting and experience expand and take form from another perspective. It's easy to catch a sense of how intense, thrilling and hectic that period was, and how everyone involved had such a grand mystical vision that warped in such specific and individual ways. You come across as a very honest and engaging narrator--someone with incredible spirit, energy and hope. It's clear that you've been able to negotiate an incredibly wild ride and come out the other side wiser, stronger and with a more nuanced understanding of the world in all its gradations of light and dark. I finished the book with a real appreciation of how tenaciously you've pursued the path. And, of course, this is an incredible look inside the Rajneesh community from one who was right there in the front row.

I have been so touched by your articles and why things happen, that I felt a need to write. I feel passionately about what you say about theories only being useful as long as they approach what our hearts, in their mysterious depths have known all along. Anyway, my heart felt moved to tell you about an amazingly powerful and beautiful book. An unflinching tale into the heart of darkness. "In the Dark and Still Moving" by Anne Geraghty. She has written "there is a profound darkness in the heart of every life. Naturally we try everything we can do to avoid this, yet this very avoidance makes the darkness even more profound. And in the heart of the deepest darkness lies the brightest light." I feel really strongly that this is the kind of book that humankind would really benefit from reading at this time. This book has the depth that many new age books miss. The story is both intensely human and deeply spiritual. Full of humour, power and tenderness. Written by a woman whose heart has held so much.
